Precious

I love the way you ring and sing when I hit that big on button thing.
You are so small but you hold so much value…..
“Oh no” not everyone can have you.
I like how a bar appears, so vast right before the internet does its task “my- oh my” you are so fast.
You speak when I need you, though a virus can’t compete with you.
Informing me is what you do, but sometimes, I’m fine to do without the truth.
Your brain revolves around facts and files floating fast for miles and miles.
I need some info, I need some words to help define and match the verbs.
You’ve helped me win in a contest that I thought I’d lose….
But in the end we made the news.
My teacher says my grades improved but, I guess it’s all because of you.
So small and rectangular I love your place.
So sheer, so wacky, what wondrous ways.
I love your color…...ruby red.
Shush be quiet did you hear what momma said.
I think I must close you it’s time for bed.
It’s just past eleven “let’s rest your head”
I think you need the long black cord that gives you a nice long shock.
Uh oh your gone, I’ll have to charge you up all night.
See you in the morning…stay snug, sleep tight.

Great poem; I especially like the line, "Informing me is what you do, but sometimes I'm fine . . . without the truth."

I also like how you slant rhymed "news" and "improved." :)

Oh My ! Precious that was really good ! I like how you changed it into a poem instead of just a regular essay. I agree that you got to charge the computer at night because if you dont it will be dead and you wont be able to use it the next day. Wonderful Job ! (:

Sisterr this poem was really good!!!!! I really liked it. What I liked most was that you made it funny and it kept the interest of the reader at all times. I think you have a great chance at winning the contest.

Question: What would you do if laptops had never been invented?
