In 6th grade, I went to a catholic school called St.Patrick’s. I’ve been in the states for 2 years and still getting used of how to speak english. St.Patrick’s wasn’t my first school that I went to it was Birney, but it only went through 5th grade. W hen I applied to St.Patrick’s, I didn’t do well on the entrance exam to it, but they still accepted me. I was happy that I got accepted to this school because the first one I applied to didn’t accept me because the same thing happened and thought I was not good enough for that school. I thanked the Principal for accepting to this school and left after that.

When school began in August, I met the 6th grade teacher and her name was Mrs. Henderson. When I met her, she seemed like a very nice person and she had that smile that would make people happy. When class started, , I was very nervous because I was a new person in this class and never have met this people before. She introduced me to the whole class that day and told me “don’t be afraid to make new friends.” That I made new friends because of the advice she gave me.

During 6th grade, Mrs. Henderson helped me with my english on her own time. She helped me understand it and helped me how to use it in the proper context because I struggled in grammar a lot. I didn’t know if I was putting the word in the right context or was using right, so that’s why I asked if she could tutor me. She tutored me and was a great helpful to me because now I understand grammar uses of words and putting it in the right context. Thanks to she has helped my english progressed.

During 6th Grade, Mrs. Henderson had this contest for all us and it’s called 2010. The contest is to determine who have have read the most book in a year. I was in that competition and my friend Max. I was so completive with him reading the most books, so I ended up winning because I read more books than him at the end of the year. People thought I cheated, but I because Max won it last year and no one has beaten him. Mrs. Henderson defended me and told me that I won it fair and square and people stopped after that.

Mrs. Henderson is my favorite teacher and the teacher I appreciated of having. She has been there for through good and bad times. She gave me advices on how to get around middle school. She has also has helped with my english and for everything. For that I thank her for helping me.
