Many of us enjoy a little gambling now and then. It may be because the easy extra money we can make from it or because of the rush we get from taking that risk. Whatever the reason, as long as it does not become a serious addiction, we all enjoy it. And with the entry of the internet in every sphere of our lives, the gambling zone has not gone untouched. There are a number of sites which provide the online gambling on various games and events, e.g. horse racing, college football, bingo etc. Therefore, now you can indulge in a little gambling by just a click of a button.
Nonetheless, since gambling involves our hard earned money, we should take good care to ensure that we are not stepping into any traps. For this, careful investment in this activity is required. Following are a few ways to ensure proper investment in online gambling:
•What you want – Find out what is your comfort zone, the type of games you understand and enjoy. If you don’t know how to play casino games, don’t bet big in black jack because your friend made a lot of money in it. There are various sites offering numerous games and activities, take time to find out what you’re good at and then proceed.
•Research – When looking for such a website, take time to find out more about the providers and the legitimacy of the page. Don’t just use any website you come across, you’ll be sharing your financial information with these sites, so make sure they’re not scammers. Browse through the internet to read up on reviews about the sites you’re interested in, check if there are multiple complaints about any of them. Try to stick to those providers who are reputable and have been around for quite some time. Even though all new sites are not frauds it would be in your best interest to go with an established source. Ask your friends and family if they know any such website, personal references and experiences will always benefit you.
•Safety – After you set up an account at a particular site, on signing in you’ll notice that you’re required to download a software from the host website, for gambling. Before you do this make sure you’ve a licensed anti-virus and anti- spyware installed in your laptop or PC. Also, before you share any financial information, make sure you’ve read all the terms and conditions put forward by the source.
•Membership – Some sites will have free membership while others will have to be purchased. In case you’re buying your membership, find out if there are any discount vouchers available for users. There are some online discount dealers who give deals like £25 free no deposit bonus on online gaming of certain kinds.
•Restrain – Gambling is very exciting therefore often quite addictive, but you should restrain yourself from throwing your money away. Spending more and more money does not mean your winnings will be directly proportionate to it.
•Offers – Being in a competitive business, each website tries to expand its clientele while retaining the existing ones. For these they offer a variety of discounts, bonuses and offers e.g. Spend £5 to get £20 free with Gala Bingo, 150% Match Bonus plus 50 Free Spins at Ladbrokes Casino etc. If you use these coupons timely and well, you’ll be able to save a lot of cash and possibly even cut your losses.
Try to stick by these points while investing (webblogmoney.com/how-to-invest-in-mutual-funds.html) and remember it is best to quit while you’re still winning.

From 2010 to 2016, StageofLife.com ran a monthly, multi-generational writing contest.  With over 3,000,000 visitors and tens of thousands of participating students, teachers, parents, and bloggers involved over half a decade, StageofLife.com grew into the world's largest multi-generational writing community.

StageofLife.com writing contestsWhere is the Writing Contest Now?  As StageofLife.com grew into a global writing destination, the coordination of managing an international writing contest became too time intensive for the website's owners.  So starting on Sept. 4, 2016, StageofLife.com unfortunately had to end the writing contest portion of its services.

However, we are now actively looking for new owners of StageofLife.com who may want to carry on the mission of helping to change the world, one story at a time.  If you know someone who may be interested in taking StageofLife.com to the next level, we can share details around the opportunity.  Please send an email to our owners if there's interest to acquire the website.

But in the meantime, there's still plenty to see and do here - just check out the various links and menus on the page.

Past Annual Writing Contest Results:  While the energy and time to carry on the StageofLife.com writing contest has come to a close, you can see summary reports and the winners from the monthly contests on our Writing Contest Winners page.  Tens of thousands of people have submitted essays over the last six years.  Our editorial team has been extremely grateful for all of the wonderful essays shared over the years - words and stories that have helped us change the world, one story at a time.

Sincerely,

--StageofLife.com owners Eric & Rebecca Thiegs and Joe & Lisa Thiegs
