Family, Friends, & Facebook
What are somethings you can’t live without? Food? Water? What about a house to sleep in? My essay is not about food, water or a house, it is about family friends and facebook. Family, Friends, and Facebook mean so much more than just saying them as words. They mean life, fun, and communication. They are all directly related and they intertwine each other.
My family ranges from my great grandma who lives in Lisbon to my youngest cousin who lives in Tennessee. Being in my family means more than just sharing blood. We share stories and we make jokes about each other. Just recently, Jaxson, my youngest brother who is nine, got his first kiss. When my grandma saw him, she made kissing faces and kissing noises. We love each other and we are very close. We care about each others feelings and we know each other's limits. Jaxson can handle the kissing faces and the kissing noises, but my seven year old cousin in Tennessee could not.
Family are people I love and can’t choose. They are people who are important to me, not by choice. My friends on the other hand, are people who I choose to love. They are people who I choose to get along with and who I choose to make my memories with. My friends consist of girls, but it also consists of boys. If you’d have told me that my bestfriend would be a boy, when I was in third grade, I’d probably have ran off screaming. My best friends are people I care about beyond all belief. They are people who I spend my days with and who I tell all my problems to.
You’re probably laughing at me. Family and friends you understand, but facebook? What is so special about facebook? Facebook is more than just an internet social network. Facebook is a life line. Like family and friends, facebook is something I can’t live without. Facebook helps me to stay in touch with the ones I love and keep me close to the newest things. I have family in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Cheyenne Wyoming, and even Lisbon, Iowa. My family is spread out all over and I don’t get to see them very often. My friend are spread out all over as well. I have friends in neighboring communities that I don’t get to see very often either. Facebook is a way to keep in touch with people I don’t communicate with daily. It is a way to catch up and to check in. It is something that I don’t know what I would do without.
Family, Friends, and Facebook, as you know, mean more to me than the world. They really are my life. I wouldn’t be who I am today without those three things. Family, Friends, and Facebook keep me sane, entertained, and in love with my crazy beautiful life.
