Be the change: I will be the change by bringing it back
The way we speak says a substantial amount about a person. I am not referring to accents and where they are from, but rather the way they craft their sentences and make their words flow together to create a masterpiece. People don’t really talk like that anymore, but they want to. I want to help and encourage people to resort back to a kinder way of speaking. A time when you could say something was swell instead of merely giving a half- hearted grunt of approval. They say that actions speak louder than words and while that is certainly true, words hold very high value as well. We overuse the word very. Very is the lazy man’s crutch. Instead of saying I’m very hungry, we should say, I’m famished. We try to get out of using extravagant words because it is just easier. I want to push people to not be lazy and take the extra step to use words in such a way that they flourish.
