Teenage Pregancy Prevention: Planned Parenthood

Over the past few years, all over the United States, pregnancy has decreased among teenagers. There are many reasons why teenage pregnancy has decreased, but I believe the main catalyst to the decreasing of teenage pregnancy are free Planned Parenthood clinics. Clinics are big supporters of the prevention of AID/HIV, STDs and pregnancy. The free Planned Parenthood centers, I believe are the main attribute to the decline of teen pregnancy.
Planned Parenthood centers have done much to educate people. From providing information about how to protect yourself, to providing the essentials to prevent STDs as well as pregnancy. By providing condoms to males, free of cost, the centers help and encourage teens to be responsible. Another pregnancy preventer the clinics provide for males is spermacide. When young men use spermacide, they lower the risk of pregnancy because the spermacide kills sperm cells when in contact.
An contraceptive that has created controversy across the nation is birth control. Although some religious groups do not agree with this form of pregnancy prevention, they cannot deny that birth control has lowered the population of teen parents. Amongst females who do not use birth control, condoms, nor spermicide, the Plan B pill is very popular. If the pill is consumed within no longer than three days after having sexual relationships, it is effective to prevent pregnancy. Although some call it the abortion pill, it will not work if the female already has a developed fetus growing in their womb.
Teenagers have been the main beneficiaries from the free of cost Planned Parenthood clinics. Not only have they helped prevent STDs, bit they have helped maintain a controlled amount of teenage parents.
