Teen Pregnancy Prevention: Lesson Learned From Uncle

I believe that teen pregnacy has decreased partially due to the fact that people are learning from mistakes that family members made. I for one had an uncle who had a child very young. With the child he was forced to marry his girlfriend which I belive he may not have done otherwise. Along with the forced marrige came financial problems since he did not have enough money to provide for his wife and new child. Not to mention the marrage failed in about five years which caused even more problems. In speaking to him he does not regret having the child but what he does regret is having her that early. I use this as a reason as to why I would not do anything to get a girl pregnant before we are ready. Looking at my uncle I see a man who was put through many hard situations. He still has financial trouble and still has to fight his ex-wife in court for custody of the child. The sad part is that all of this could have been avoided if he was careful. When you think about that you realize that it just is not worth it.
