You feel the warmth of his muscular body as it’s softly pressed up against yours. His strong hands are gently holding you close to him because he never wants to let you go. His comforting smirk melts your heart and his flawless voice whispers the three words that memorize you each and every time he says them. You look tenderly into his gorgeous deep brown eyes. In them there’s a glimmer of passion as he looks into yours. Suddenly you’re lost. Any fear or worry that was ever there has disappeared for the moment. You’re where you belong for the rest of your life. The thoughts race through your mind so fast you can’t keep up with them. Just the thought of him makes the butterflies in your stomach run wild, your heart pound faster and faster, and your lips to slowly start to curl upward into an uncontrollable smile. Could there be any better feeling than this? Better than love?
Many would say that love hurts, but really it’s not love that hurts it’s the rejection. When you fall in love, you give one person the key to your heart. You give them your heart with the power to shatter it, but trust them to shield it from danger and guard it with their life. You can see more than what’s brought to the eyes, you can see past the flaws, and you would risk your life to protect them. To you what happened in their past stays in their past, what matters is now. What matters is that you’re the person they chose to stand by for the rest of their life. Even after having the most horrendous day, seeing their smile would make everything worthwhile. They light up your world when it’s dark and dim and never ask for anything in return. Can true love really have happy endings? So many people search and try to find that answer, but the answer is no. True love can’t have happy endings because if it’s true, it never ends.
When someone finds a true love they want to be by their side every second of the day. When they are away there is a strong ache in their heart. They listen to love songs trying to heal the pain, but only succeeding at making it worse. Their mind is constantly filled with the memories of them so they try to clear their mind, but deep down inside they never want the memories to leave. They smile at the thought of them then shed a tear at the thought that they are not there. Then at night before they close their eyes they say “I’m not dreaming about them tonight” then rest their head on their pillow saying their name over and over hoping they will see them in a few minutes. Love… love is confusing and difficult and involves a risk, but what can we do? We all just wait to be swept off our feet.
