Love to me is purpose. I think we all now life sucks almost 90% of the time. Sometimes keeping on is like being told to do long division without a pencil and paper. There are conspicuous ways to do it but just the mere fact that you are being asked to do it is worthy of a tantrum. There are loopholes like “Whatever life. I’ll just grab a pen and some papyrus.” There are breakdowns like “WHAT DO YOU MEAN ‘WHAT IS 879876 DIVIDED BY 43543.’” And there are always shortcuts, calculators. But, no matter what way you do it, if you do it correctly, you are going to get the same answer as the guy next you. Love is that answer.
Some days I’m begging God just to take me now, and other days I can’t help but to keep rerunning through a thought that makes me smile and blush to think about. Living is that hardest thing that I hope any of us will ever have to do. And to make life seem better or to make life have purpose, there is this thing called love. Love makes us smile, cry, eat too much ice cream, blush, cuss, and swear you will never love again. Love is what keeps us here on this Earth. Love keeps us waiting to see if life could possibly get any better. Love is the promise of tomorrow, the bliss of now, and the hurt of yesterday. To me, love defines time; if you believe in it, it means time left to live.
You know you are in love when you don’t think about how long you’ve been waiting for someone or how far you have left to go- you’re in love when you measure time by something or someone and not your own point of view. Love changes you from thinking about your life and future as an individual and puts this obstacle in the way. Love is something you cannot live without because when you truly feel like nothing in this world is worth loving, why are you here? Without love, the world would be an empty place. Love is the drive and determination to live another day. “I can live without money, but I cannot live without love." -Judy Garland. Love is the next day and the day after that.
