Today as I drove home from babysitting my granddaughter, the sun was shining so brightly and giving off a feeling of warmth and even better - a promise of Spring. After what seems like an endless winter here in southeastern Pennsylvania, this warmer weather is like a gift, and I unwrap it with great glee. I roll down my window, turn up the classic rock on the radio and drive home rocking out to Creedence - and yep, that includes singing too! Sure, the air is still a little nippy and there is still snow in some places, but it is a glorious day and it makes me
feel young again - so I revel in this day, in this sunny, beautiful day, so welcome, so needed! Those who
live in places with little climate change maybe have trouble understanding how wonderful the coming of Spring is - when we start to see grass again and we want
to get out in the yard and plant things and feel the warm sun on our faces. Today is a gift and for a few moments I was young, driving down the road, singing, rocking, and just loving life - so if you ever see a short, roundish grandma with sunglasses driving and playing loud music - it might be me - or it might be some other grandma who is just enjoying her day.
