My best friend, my life, what makes me, what fuels me: Nature. It does everything for all of us. The best gift we were given is, by far, nature. Without it we wouldn’t exist. My favorite part of Nature is by far the mountains. They are constantly changing, and they will never be the same. The mountains not only provide me with the sport I love, but also with many other living things such as trees and animals.
I wish I could live in the mountains, they are part of my family. I have loved them ever since I was born. Skiing at the age of two and skiing all the time has made me have a new perspective on the world. Even when there is no snow on these beautiful aspects of nature, I look at them and realize that they are what makes me so happy for about five months of the year. Without skiing I would be lost, I could never be truly happy. With no mountains, there is no skiing, therefore I worship the mountains.
Skiing is my core. When there is skiing there is snow. It is the most beautiful form of precipitation. White, fluffy, and no two flakes are ever the same. It is an extremely beautiful sight to see how the snow falls ever so gently on all things. Even though it is cold, the snow makes me warm and fuzzy inside. Many people love summer, and I do too but nothing gives me energy like a cold wintery day.
Skiing is the act of gliding on skis. It sounds so simple, but this simple act brings me so much joy. When my alarm goes off for school, it takes every muscle and every bit of energy I have in my body to get me out of bed. Although when my alarm goes off in the winter and it’s the weekend, it is effortless for me to wake up. I am always the first one ready. That clicking noise of putting on skis, tells you that the day is going to begin. Snow is a part of nature, mountains are a part of nature, and skiing is my nature, without nature I wouldn’t be able to ski and I wouldn’t know what to do with myself.
All forms of life are a part of nature, including me. Without nature I wouldn’t be alive. When someone complains about the rain, or any other part of nature, I feel a sharp pain, like I am being stabbed with a knife because they are part of nature too. Each part of nature has an essential role in the biosphere. The rain makes crops grow, the crops feed the animals, and the animals feed us. People need to learn how to respect nature and its individual components. To show their respect for nature they need to protect it, for it has given us life and everything in it.
