Being the oldest is tough. Don't get me wrong though i know being the youngest or middle child is hard too. But being the oldest is definitely the hardest. We are asked to do it all and nothing. Because being the oldest ensures that we should know when we need to take care of something. Be it cleaning the house, cooking dinner, getting a job for extra money, taking care of your little brother and sister. The list just goes on and on. But you wonder when is your alone time? When do I get go do what I want? I'm 16 and I do it all, and still haven't been to a party with friends doing whatever I want....IM the second mom of the family. Which I guess means I have better things to do than going out having fun?
